This is nori seaweed paste called Tsukudani, which is a kind of preserved food, made of nori seaweed boiled down in a mixture of soy sauce and sugar, etc. Japanese eat with hot rice, but you can eat spreading toast with it, too.

Ingredients; nori laver, soy sauce, extracts of bonito and scallop, sugar, agar and amino acid.
